The NYPD is searching for a suspect following a violent hammer attack that took place on 12th Avenue and 42nd Street.
According to police, the incident happened at around 4:15 p.m., when a man approached a 58-year-old victim and got into a verbal dispute over the use of tools. The situation quickly escalated, and the suspect pulled out a hammer and struck the victim in the head before fleeing the scene.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black hat, green hooded jacket, tan shirt, and tan pants.
Police are continuing to search for the individual as the investigation remains ongoing.
