ELIMINATED: IDF Kills Top Hezbollah Anti-Tank Commander in Targeted Strike
The IDF announced Thursday that it struck and eliminated Hassan Mohammad Bashir, a senior commander in Hezbollah’s anti-tank unit in the Hajir area. The Israeli Air Force conducted the strike that killed Bashir, who had organized hundreds of terror attacks against both Israeli civilians and soldiers and commanded terror cells that engaged in continuous anti-tank missile fire toward northern Israel, according to the military.
Bashir had recently been working with Hezbollah’s anti-tank unit north of the Litani River and had trained many terrorists.
The IDF said that the elimination of the senior Hezbollah commander impedes Hezbollah in organizing and carrying out terror attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.
It was Hezbollah’s choice to join the war on behalf of Iran, and now it is paying the price.
“The IDF is operating decisively against the Hezbollah terrorist organization in response to its deliberate decision to attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian terror regime,” the military said.
