If you regularly ship packages, you may soon notice a slight increase in costs.
The United States Postal Service is proposing an 8 percent price increase on several of its shipping options, including Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage, and Parcel Select. The change is expected to take effect April 26 and remain in place through January 17, 2027.
Other services, including First-Class Mail and stamps, would stay the same.
The proposal has already been approved by Postal Service Governors and is now awaiting final review. If cleared, the new rates would go into effect at 1:00 a.m. on April 26.
