Iran Threatens ‘Heavy Price,’ Against Israel Saying Israeli Strikes Undermine Trump Diplomacy Deadline

Mar 27, 2026·1 min read

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is vowing retaliation after a wave of Israeli strikes targeted key Iranian infrastructure.

According to Araghchi, Israel hit two of Iran’s largest steel factories, a power plant, and civilian nuclear-related sites, claiming the strikes were carried out in coordination with the United States.

He also argued that the attack directly contradicts President Donald Trump’s extended deadline for diplomacy, framing the strikes as a blow to ongoing negotiations.

Araghchi warned that Iran will exact a “heavy price” for what he described as Israeli crimes.

Meanwhile Marco Rubio told G7 foreign ministers that the war with Iran is expected to continue for another 2–4 weeks, extending beyond earlier timelines.

The statement comes as Israel significantly escalated its campaign, striking major industrial sites including Khuzestan Steel, Mobarakeh Steel, and critical infrastructure in Isfahan.

Footage circulating online shows massive destruction at Shiraz Sadr chemical industries, with facilities seen blown to smithereens.

The escalation raises growing concerns of a wider regional conflict as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to intensify.
