IDF Eliminates Hezbollah-Linked Journalist Ali Shoeib, Identified as Radwan Force Intelligence Operative

Mar 28, 2026·1 min read

A Hezbollah-linked journalist was killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in the southern Lebanese town of Jezzine, according to Lebanese media and later confirmed by the Israeli military.

The IDF identified the individual as Ali Shoeib, who worked for Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV network. According to the military, Shoeib was not only a journalist but also an operative in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, specifically within its intelligence unit.

The IDF states that Shoeib operated under the guise of journalism while actively assisting Hezbollah, including exposing the locations of Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon and along the border. He reportedly maintained ongoing contact with other Radwan Force members and continued these activities throughout the current war with Iran.

In addition, the military accuses Shoeib of using his media role to incite against Israeli civilians and soldiers, and to disseminate Hezbollah propaganda.

The strike also reportedly killed Fatima Ftouni, a reporter affiliated with the Hezbollah-linked Al-Mayadeen channel, according to the network. There was initially no immediate IDF comment on her presence or role.
