Wave of Attacks: Three Terrorists Killed in Separate Incidents
In a third incident within 24 hours targeting troops stationed in Judea and Samaria, a terrorist attempting to ram his vehicle into IDF soldiers in Tulkarem, which is in Samaria, was shot dead. The suspect was identified as Abd al-Rahman Mahza Abu al-Rub, a junior officer in Tulkarem’s PA police department.
The IDF issued a statement saying that al-Rub had sped toward troops at the Einav checkpoint near Tulkarem “in a manner that posed a threat.” Soldiers acted to “neutralize” the threat by firing on the car as it accelerated toward them. The military added that it had foiled two other attacks earlier that same day, one of which was also an attempted ramming.
A man sped in his car toward soldiers stationed in al-Ram in Judea. Perceiving the threat, the soldiers shot and killed the terrorist.
In Dura, near Hebron in Judea, another terrorist ran at troops while brandishing a knife. The soldiers shot and killed the man, identified as Ramzi Awawada, 22. PA security forces accused Israeli soldiers of neglecting to administer emergency medical aid and blocking rescue workers from reaching him, allowing him to bleed to death.
