IDF Eliminates October 7 Terrorist Who Led Deadly Nir Oz Infiltration, Three Additional Hamas Operatives

Apr 10, 2026·2 min read

Israeli security forces have eliminated a key terrorist who infiltrated Kibbutz Nir Oz during the October 7 massacre and took part in one of the most brutal attacks of that day, along with three additional Hamas operatives, according to a joint statement by the IDF and Shin Bet.

The operation targeted Abd al Rahman Ammar Hassan Khudari, a member of the Islamic Jihad terror organization, who was directly involved in the massacre at Nir Oz and had since been planning another terror attack against IDF troops operating in northern Gaza.

Khudari was among the terrorists who stormed the kibbutz, going house to house as part of a coordinated assault that left families slaughtered, civilians kidnapped, and an entire community shattered. The attackers overran nearly every residence in Nir Oz, murdering residents and dragging others into Gaza as hostages.

By percent of population, Nir Oz had one of the highest death tolls in the October 7 attacks, with approximately one quarter of its roughly 400 residents either murdered or abducted. A significant portion of the hostages taken on October 7 were from the kibbutz, including members of the Bibas family and Oded Lifshitz. IDF forces did not reach the scene until after the terrorists had completed their rampage.

In the same wave of operations, Israeli forces also struck and eliminated three additional terrorists affiliated with Hamas, as part of ongoing efforts to hunt down those responsible for the October 7 atrocities and prevent further attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.
