A frightening incident is unfolding this Friday afternoon at the separate Tzanz Beach in Netanya, where two brothers from Yerushalayim were caught in dangerous waters, triggering a large-scale emergency response.
According to initial reports, the brothers, two yeshiva bochurim, entered the sea and quickly encountered distressing conditions. Bystanders who spotted the situation rushed to help and managed to pull one of the brothers, a 21-year-old, from the water.
When Hatzalah and MDA teams arrived, they found the young man unconscious and unresponsive. Intensive lifesaving efforts were immediately launched on scene, including prolonged resuscitation attempts. After regaining a pulse, he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, where medical teams continue fighting for his life.
At the same time, a desperate and ongoing search is underway for his younger brother, approximately 18 years old, who remains missing in the water.
Large rescue forces, including police units, emergency responders, helicopters, and ZAKA’s specialized diving team, have launched extensive search operations both along the shoreline and underwater, working urgently to locate the missing bochur.
Authorities noted that the incident took place at a beach currently closed to swimming, with no regulated access, adding to the danger of the conditions.
As of now, one brother remains in critical condition, while the second has not yet been located.
