Pre-Pesach Collection

As you get ready for Passover, Sanitary District No. 1 and the Village of Cedarhurst are here to make things a little easier. We encourage residents to take advantage of this enhanced service to help clear out any remaining chometz from your home—no last-minute rush needed.

Sanitary District 1 collection will take place on Wednesday, April 1, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Crews will be circulating throughout the Five Towns, picking up securely tied bags of trash placed at the front curb of your home. To help keep everything running smoothly and on schedule, pickups will be limited to front curb placement only during this time.

In addition, the Village will be offering a convenient drop-off option for residents that same day. From 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM, a Village garbage truck and crew will be stationed behind Village Hall to assist residents with drop-offs. Please be sure all items are securely tied in garbage bags.
