A major search operation is underway in the Negev after a yeshiva bochur was reported missing at Ein Avdat spring, with growing concern that he may have drowned. The bochur had entered the water during a trip in the area when he encountered difficulty and disappeared beneath the surface. Rescue forces were immediately alerted, triggering a large scale emergency response.

Elite search and rescue teams from the Lahav Unit, including specialized divers trained for complex underwater recovery, were sent to the scene. The commander is personally overseeing the operation as teams search the water and the surrounding areas. In addition, an Israeli Police aerial unit helicopter transported forces to the location to assist the search efforts and provide an overhead view of the area.

The incident takes place during Bein Hazmanim, a time when many bochurim travel throughout the country, often to natural sites like springs and hiking areas.
As of now, search efforts remain ongoing.
Everyone is urged to daven for the safe return of the missing bochur.
