US Centcom Chief Meets IDF Head in Israel, Joins Holocaust Survivor as Iran War Talks Loom
The commander of US Central Command, Adm. Brad Cooper, has arrived in Israel for another round of high-level discussions with senior Israeli military officials.
During his visit, Cooper met with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, and the two marked Holocaust Remembrance Day alongside Holocaust survivor Bella Haim. Haim, whose grandson Yotam Haim was mistakenly killed by Israeli troops in Gaza while held hostage, shared her personal account of surviving the Holocaust after fleeing her hometown of Stoczek in Poland to Russia.
According to the IDF, both commanders listened closely to her testimony and life story during the meeting.
Cooper and Zamir are also expected to hold strategic talks focused on the ongoing campaign involving Iran, as well as contingency planning should broader hostilities resume.
