Israeli Defense Minister: The US and Israel Have Defined the Removal of Enriched Nuclear Material From Iran as a Precondition for Ending the War
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz delivered a speech today, Tuesday, marking the Holocaust Remembrance Day, in which he addressed the close cooperation between Israel and the US, as well as the goals of the war.
Minister Katz stated: “On this Holocaust Remembrance Day, the State of Israel is stronger and safer, and for the first time in many years, it is not threatened by an existential threat of annihilation. This is a direct result of the elimination of Ali Khamenei, who conceived and led the plan to destroy Israel by virtue of his status, capabilities, and religious authority.”
Regarding Iran, Katz said: “Operations ‘Am K’Lavi’ and ‘Sha’agat Ha’Ari’ have destroyed Iran’s nuclear program and its ability to produce nuclear weapons.”
Addressing the ongoing goal of the war, he added: “The issue of the enriched material remains as a potential foundation to restart the operation. Therefore, the US and Israel have defined the removal of the material from Iran as a non-negotiable condition for ending the campaign.”
Katz also delivered a firm message regarding the wider region: “Iran’s proxies in the region, from the collapsed Syrian regime to Hezbollah and Hamas, have also been severely battered and have lost their ability to pose a strategic threat to Israel. It remains to deal with the remnants of their power, and we are doing, and will continue to do so, with full commitment and in full force.”
