11-Year-Old Girl Dies From Wounds Sustained In Iranian Cluster Bomb Attack On Passover Eve

Apr 24, 2026·2 min read

An 11-year-old girl from Bnei Brak has tragically died after succumbing to critical injuries sustained in an Iranian cluster munition strike on the eve of Passover, city officials confirmed.

The victim has been identified as Nesya Karadi, 11.

She had remained in critical condition since being admitted to the hospital following the attack, as prayers poured in from across the country. Many took on good deeds in hopes of her recovery. Despite all efforts, she passed away surrounded by her family, who never left her side.

A video circulating shows her mother praying outside the operating room prior to surgery, tearfully begging for a miracle. Tragically, despite those heartfelt pleas and the hopes of so many, it was not to be.

Nesya was a student at the Horev school and the daughter of Rabbi Elazar Karadi and Mrs. Hila Karadi. Her mother is the niece of noted educator and speaker Rabbi Michael Lsari.

Her family shared that she was named “Nesya” because her birth was considered a miracle, recalling that the midwife at the time described her delivery as an open miracle.

The funeral is scheduled to take place Saturday evening, with further details expected to be announced.

The tragedy has deeply shaken the community.
