With the start of summer Zman bringing an unusually large influx of bochurim to the yeshiva founded by Hagaon Harav Meshulam Dovid Halevi Soloveitchik zt”l, the current Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon Harav Yitzchak Zev Halevi Soloveitchik shlita, has announced two significant appointments within the yeshiva’s leadership, according to B’Chadrei Charedim.

Until now, since the petirah of Rav Meshulam Dovid, the Rosh Yeshiva alone delivered shiurim in the yeshiva, while his eldest son, Harav Chaim, delivered only chaburos to bochurim in the afternoon hours. With this zman’s expanded enrollment placing greater demands on the Rosh Yeshiva’s shiur, Rav Yitzchak Ze’ev has appointed Rav Chaim to deliver formal shiurim as well.

For the afternoon chaburos previously given by Rav Chaim, the Rosh Yeshiva has turned to his second son, Harav Yerucham.

In a detail that has drawn particular notice, the news outlet reported that Rav Chaim’s shiurim will be delivered not inside the yeshiva building itself, but at the home of the Rebbetzin, the almanah of Rav Meshulam Dovid, whose residence on Eli Hacohen street sits adjacent to the yeshiva.

The Rosh Yeshiva specifically chose this arrangement, it is reported, in order to be mechazeik the almanah and allow her to witness the yeshiva’s activity up close.
