Hezbollah Drone Kills Israeli Father, Wounds His Son on Defense Ministry Mission in Lebanon
Hezbollah killed Israeli Defense Ministry contractor Amer Hujirat, 44, from Shfaram, in an explosive drone strike on an engineering vehicle operating in southern Lebanon. His 19-year-old son, who worked for the same contractor company, was lightly wounded by shrapnel and treated at Ziv Medical Center in Safed.

According to the initial investigation, the Hezbollah drone scored a direct hit on the engineering vehicle near Aitaroun, close to Bint Jbeil, while crews were working to demolish Hezbollah terror infrastructure. Hezbollah claimed responsibility, saying it targeted an Israeli bulldozer with an explosive-laden drone.
Ziv Hospital said Hujirat’s son was physically in light condition but suffered acute emotional distress after the attack and was later released home. The IDF and Defense Ministry said Hujirat’s family was notified by police and expressed condolences.

The killing comes as Hezbollah continues using explosive drones against Israelis operating in southern Lebanon, even under ceasefire conditions. Earlier this week, Sgt. Idan Fooks, 19, was killed in another Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon, with several IDF soldiers wounded.
