CB12 Listing for Close to Fifty Lag Baomer Bonfire Sites in Boro Park
YS GOLD
In what has become an annual tradition in Boro Park, close to fifty kehillos will be celebrating the hillula of Rashbi on Monday evening with a massive bonfire.
Community Board 12 has been working for months to ensure that these events will go smoothly, in coordination with the FDNY, city permitting agencies, and the NYPD, which will be closing off numerous streets around the bonfire sites.
CB12 has released a map of the road closures and partial road closures in advance of Lag Baomer, and drivers are urged to be mindful of traffic changes around Boro Park.
As we have reported, the partial road closures are for crucial emergency routes, enabling Hatzolah and other emergency agencies to pass through the area around the celebrations.
As Boro Park prepares to celebrate the great hillula once again, it will be with a kiddush Hashem and adherence to local laws and regulations, in large part due to the efforts of Community Board 12.
