
Gun, Knives, Bat: Police Investigating Violent Robbery Pattern Across Boro Park Area

The NYPD is warning residents about a violent robbery pattern connected to multiple attacks across the area in recent weeks, including incidents involving guns, knives, a baseball bat, and severe assaults targeting victims late at night.
Police detectives have now linked several robberies that took place between late March and late April.
In one of the incidents, a 53-year-old man was jumped near 52nd Street and 9th Avenue on March 23 by three suspects who repeatedly punched him in the head before stealing his watch, cellphone, cash, and even his pants pockets containing about $4,000.
Another robbery happened shortly after midnight on April 9 inside a residential building lobby near 57th Street and 8th Avenue, where four suspects displayed a gun, knives, and a metal object while robbing four victims of cash, phones, watches, and debit cards.
A 53-year-old man was attacked near 43rd Street and 10th Avenue on April 22, when one suspect struck him in the back with a baseball bat while others stole his wallet.
In a separate incident on April 29, a 42-year-old woman was reportedly followed into a residential building near 52nd Street and 9th Avenue, where one of the suspects allegedly displayed a firearm and struck her in the face before stealing her purse, cash, and phones.
The NYPD has released surveillance images connected to the investigation and is asking anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
