Ezra Medical Center has been selected as one of only 26 organizations nationwide to receive the 2026–2027 Access to Care Grant from the AAPD Foundation.

The grant, valued at up to $30,000, supports clinics and programs that provide children with essential preventive care and full service dental treatment.

Ezra is the only medical center within New York City’s five boroughs to receive this year’s award and one of only two organizations in New York State selected for the grant.

A major factor in the award was Ezra’s mobile dental unit, which brings dental care directly into communities where access to treatment is often limited. The program focuses on providing underserved children with comprehensive high-quality care in a more accessible and convenient manner.

Ezra Medical also expressed appreciation to Dr. Meryl Hersh, director of the organization’s mobile dental unit for leading the grant application process.
