A Man Allegedly Uses His Dog as a Weapon Against Jewish Pedestrians
A man identified as Tar Nay was seen running through a Santa Monica street shouting “Genocidal!,” then set his dog on a Jewish couple.
The man shouted threats at pedestrians, chased people with a baseball bat, and eventually released his dog, a large black Italian mastiff, which bit one person on the thigh. Police arrived at the scene, apprehended the suspect, who was found a short distance away, and treated the victim for the minor bite wound, which required no further medical attention.
While Santa Monica police identified the assailant as Tar Nay, StopAntisemitism and Never Again named him Nay Min Tar on X.
“Watch as a man identified as Nay Min Tar exits his car, chases a Jewish couple while screaming that they are ‘genocidal,’ and then allows his dog to attack them,” StopAntisemitism posted. “He has since been arrested and charged with assault, criminal threats, and additional offenses.”
“In Santa Monica, California, a crazed antisemite who’s been named as Nay Min Tar screams ‘GENOCIDAL!’ at some Jewish people before setting his dog on them,” Never Again wrote. “He’s been arrested and charged with assault and criminal threats.”
