The IDF has authorized publication of the name of Sergeant Rotem Yanai Hy”d, a 20-year-old service conditions NCO in the Givati Brigade from Givat Ada, who was killed by a Hezbollah explosive drone strike in northern Israel.

Yanai was struck while running to a shelter during the attack in a military zone near Shomera on the Lebanon border.

Two Hezbollah drones exploded in the incident after sirens sounded, but the IDF failed to intercept it.

In the same attack, one reservist soldier was seriously wounded and another was moderately wounded. Both were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment and their families have been notified.
