Monsey Eruv Weekly Inspection Report — Parshas Naso

May 29, 2026·2 min read

The Eruv of Monsey released its weekly inspection report ahead of Shabbos Parshas Naso, with officials reporting that all sections of the Eruv are kosher following repairs completed this week.

Several maintenance issues were identified and addressed across the Eruv system. In Suffern, crews removed branches that were resting on the Eruv string along Campbell Avenue.

In the Airmont Eruv, two repairs were completed. On Hampshire Hill Road, a newly installed utility pole eliminated the need for a previous string connection after the utility company placed the wire directly atop the new pole. Along West Saddle River Road, a wire that had become tied into other cables was replaced with a new straight wire.

The Monsey Rambam Eruv (Sh’lav 1) required repairs at a construction site on Homestead Lane, where a tree pushed down a corner section of fencing. In the Monsey Rambam (Sh’lav 2), crews corrected an Eruv string crossing between Highview Road and Silverwood Circle that had become tangled in other wires.

The most significant repairs this week took place in New City. Along North Little Tor Road, utility company crews replaced a utility pole Thursday afternoon, causing an Eruv string to come down. After the utility work was completed, Eruv crews immediately installed a new wire and restored the boundary. At a nearby location on the same roadway, a PVC lechi that was no longer properly aligned beneath the wire was replaced with two new one-inch PVC pipes.

In Haverstraw, crews trimmed branches near the Eruv string at the intersection of South Pascack Road and Scotland Hill Road.

All other sections — including Good Samaritan Hospital (Sh’lav 5 Rambam), Chestnut Ridge, Pearl River, Montebello, Spring Valley, Nanuet, Wesley Hills, New Hempstead, and Hillcrest — were reported to be in good standing following inspections.

Eruv officials highlighted what they described as a remarkable instance of siyata d’Shmaya this week. After the New City Eruv inspection was completed Thursday morning and confirmed to be kosher, one of the organization’s drivers later noticed a utility company replacing a pole on the same street. Recognizing that the work had compromised part of the Eruv line, a repair team was immediately dispatched to reinstall the wire and restore the boundary before Shabbos. Officials said the quick response ensured the integrity of the Eruv was maintained without interruption.
