Shin Bet Exposes Turkey-Based Hamas Command Center Accused of Recruiting Terrorists, Smuggling Weapons and Directing Dozens of Foiled Attacks Against Israel
🚨 The Shin Bet says it has foiled dozens of Hamas terror plots in the West Bank over the past year that were allegedly directed by operatives based in Turkey.
According to Israeli security officials, Hamas’s so-called “West Bank Headquarters” has been operating from Turkish territory, recruiting attackers, transferring funds and weapons, and coordinating attacks against Israeli targets.
The Shin Bet identified Istanbul-based senior Hamas official Zaher Jabarin as the head of Hamas activity in the West Bank, while Ayman Abu Khalil is said to oversee the group’s military operations there.
Several other Turkey-based operatives were also named, including individuals accused of recruiting terrorists, financing attack networks, transferring funds, and helping supply weapons used in past attacks.
Israeli officials say Hamas operatives continue to operate freely from Turkey, using local infrastructure to funnel money, instructions, and support to terror cells in the West Bank.
