The Jackson Township Police Department has welcomed its newest officer following the graduation of the Ocean County Police Academy’s 125th Basic Police Class.

Officer Liam Flanigan graduated from the academy on Tuesday and officially joins the ranks of the Jackson Township Police Department.

A native of Freehold Township, Flanigan graduated from Freehold Township High School in 2023 and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at Saint Vincent College. He began his law enforcement career in 2025 as a Class I Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO I) with the Avon Police Department before being hired by the Jackson Township Police Department.

The department congratulated Officer Flanigan on reaching this milestone and wished him a successful and safe career as he begins serving the residents of Jackson Township.
