The Lakewood Police Department has launched its new Blue Light Emergency Tower Program, introducing a network of emergency call stations that will provide residents and visitors with direct access to police assistance from parks and other public locations throughout the township.
The first emergency tower is now operational at the Lake Carasaljo Amphitheater, with additional towers scheduled to be installed in the coming weeks at parks, sports complexes, and other municipal locations.
Each tower features a highly visible blue beacon and an emergency call button that immediately connects users with the Lakewood Police Department’s Emergency Dispatch Center. Dispatchers can instantly identify the caller’s location and send officers without delay.
Once fully installed, the towers will be available at several locations across Lakewood, giving the public another way to quickly request police assistance during emergencies or to report suspicious activity. The initiative is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen public safety and improve emergency response throughout the township.
