WASHINGTON (VINnews) – Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton returned to her closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee Thursday after proceedings were briefly paused when a photo from inside the session was shared online.

The image, posted by a conservative influencer after being circulated by Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., violated committee rules for confidential depositions, according to Clinton’s attorneys. Boebert defended the post, saying the influencer “did nothing wrong.”
Clinton opened the session with remarks sharply critical of the committee, calling the hearing a partisan effort and stating she had no relevant information about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Democrats on the panel said the questioning had revealed little of significance.
Committee Republicans said the testimony was relevant because of Clinton’s past social and fundraising ties to Epstein and the attendance of Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. Democrats countered that Maxwell had no personal connection to the Clintons.
Clinton has repeatedly said she never met Epstein, never traveled on his private plane, and never visited his properties. Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to testify Friday.
