JERUSALEM (VINnews)-Amid escalating regional tensions with Iran, Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin issued a video statement Friday reassuring the public that there are no changes to Home Front Command guidelines.

“I am aware of the sense of uncertainty and the tension prevailing among the public in light of the regional developments,” Defrin said.

“The IDF is closely monitoring the situation in Iran and is alert and prepared to defend you,” he added.

Defrin emphasized that current instructions for the Israeli public remain unchanged.

“There is no change in the guidelines. If there is a change, I will be here and we will provide an update accordingly,” he said.

The statement comes as concerns mount over potential Iranian actions and broader Middle East instability, including reports of U.S. considerations regarding strikes on Iran. Israeli military officials have repeatedly stressed heightened defensive readiness while urging citizens to rely solely on official channels from the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit and Home Front Command for any updates.

No immediate threats have prompted alterations to public safety protocols, according to the IDF.
