Scott Jennings Defends Trump, Dismisses Massie and Greene as Not True Republicans
WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) — Conservative commentator Scott Jennings sharply rebuked Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), accusing them of consistently opposing President Donald Trump on key issues, including recent U.S. military strikes on Iran.
Jennings, a CNN political analyst and Trump supporter, described the pair as political adversaries to the president regardless of the policy at hand.
“I don’t consider them to be actual Republicans or part of America First or MAGA movement, to be honest with you,” Jennings said.
He added, “They’ve just become political enemies of the president of the United States no matter what he does and that’s unfortunate.”
Jennings highlighted their recent criticisms of Trump’s decision to authorize strikes on Iranian targets, which Massie and Greene condemned as unauthorized acts of war and a betrayal of campaign promises to avoid foreign entanglements.
“She quit, and he’s about to lose a primary in Kentucky! That’ll be the end of THAT,” Jennings remarked, referring to Greene’s departure from Congress and Massie’s anticipated reelection challenge.
The comments came amid growing tensions within the Republican Party over Trump’s foreign policy decisions, particularly the Iran strikes, which some America First advocates have decried as contradicting pledges to prioritize domestic issues and avoid “forever wars.”
Massie has vowed to push for a congressional war powers vote, while Greene has publicly lamented the actions as a departure from MAGA principles.
