Caregiver Killed in Direct Iranian Missile Strike on Tel Aviv Apartment Building

Mar 1, 2026·1 min read

TEL AVIV (VINnews)-A foreign caregiver was killed when an intact Iranian ballistic missile struck next to an older apartment building in Tel Aviv, failing to reach a nearby public bomb shelter in time, Israel’s Home Front Command determined Sunday.

The elderly woman she cared for was rescued alive from the rubble. The strike created a large crater and caused extensive damage to the building, which lacked private safe rooms.

The attack was part of Iran’s overnight barrage of over 20 missiles on Tel Aviv—launched in small salvos of typically three at a time—following U.S.-Israeli strikes that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The Home Front Command emphasized that timely evacuation to shelters remains critical amid ongoing threats.
