2nd War Fatality As Tel Aviv Citizen Suffocates On The Way To Shelter
JERUSALEM (VINnews) — There have been two fatalities as a result of Iranian missiles targeting Israel in the past 24 hours.
During the course of a nighttime barrage on Tel Aviv, a foreign caregiver in her 40s did not succeed in reaching a sheltered area with her elderly patient, and was killed by the direct hit on a residential building. Her patient survived and was evacuated from the rubble.
In another fatal incident, Marina Blaiv, a 68-year-old resident of Tel Aviv, suffocated to death on her way to a shelter.
Her daughter, Aya, said in a conversation with Ynet: “I started walking, I went outside. She told me, ‘Go, I’ll come.’ I turned around and saw that she had stopped, and she shouted, ‘Go, don’t wait for me.’ It’s possible she was already having an episode. I kept walking, and then the neighbor called me and said that Mom was sitting on the bench and choking.” Blaiv did not survive her choking attack.
In another unusual incident which occurred on Saturday, bomb disposal experts dismantled an Iranian warhead which landed in Old Jerusalem, just hundreds of meters from the holy sites. The warhead hit an open area and did not cause any casualties, but police warned the public to be careful and maintain Homeland Security regulations.
