Netanyahu Says Israel Will Step Up Strikes on Iran After Khamenei’s Death
TEL AVIV (VINnews) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that attacks on Iran are expected to intensify in the coming days after the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top officials.
In a video message recorded at the defense ministry in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu said Israeli forces are striking Tehran “with growing intensity” and that the operations will continue to escalate.
Netanyahu said he had completed a security briefing with senior military leaders and issued directives for the next phase of the campaign.
Acknowledging recent attacks on Israel, he described the past 24 hours as “painful,” referring to Iranian strikes in Tel Aviv and Beit Shemesh that left at least 10 people dead. He extended condolences to the families of those killed.
The prime minister also praised the cooperation with U.S. military forces, saying the joint operations allow Israel to deliver a “decisive blow” to what he described as a terrorist regime.
עם זאת, אלה ימים… pic.twitter.com/cap0Atxlhl
