WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) — President Trump on Monday issued a direct call to the Iranian people to rise up against their government, posting a video message on X urging “Iranian patriots who yearn for freedom” to act boldly in what appears to be a pivotal moment in the escalating U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran.

In the video, Trump declared: “I call upon all Iranian patriots who yearn for freedom to seize this moment, to be brave, be bold, be heroic, and take back your country!”

He continued: “America is with you. I made a promise to you, and I fulfilled that promise.”

“The rest will be up to you, but we’ll be there to help. Thank you. G-d bless you, too, our incredible warriors. And G-d bless the United States of America.”

The post, shared widely on X with accompanying video footage, comes as joint U.S. and Israeli strikes — which began over the weekend — have reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top officials, destroyed key military targets including Revolutionary Guard headquarters, and sunk multiple Iranian naval vessels. The operation has drawn retaliatory actions from Iran and its proxies, including Hezbollah, expanding the conflict across the region.

U.S. Central Command confirmed Sunday that three American service members were killed in action, with Trump acknowledging the losses in related statements and warning that more casualties were “likely” as operations continue “ahead of schedule” and “until all objectives are achieved.” He has also urged Iranian military and security forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, to surrender with promises of immunity, threatening “certain death” for those who resist.

Trump’s message to the Iranian populace echoes earlier calls for regime change and popular uprising, framing the military campaign as support for internal freedom efforts rather than direct U.S. occupation.
