President Donald Trump declared Tuesday that Iran’s efforts to reopen negotiations come too late, as fighting between the Islamic Republic and the combined forces of the United States and Israel moved into its fourth day.
In a post published on his Truth Social platform, Trump dismissed Tehran’s reported interest in talks and pointed to what he described as the destruction of key elements of Iran’s military leadership and capabilities.
“Their air defense, Air Force, Navy, and Leadership is gone. They want to talk. I said ‘Too Late!'”
Earlier in the day, Trump also highlighted the strength of America’s weapons reserves, asserting that U.S. stockpiles are at unprecedented levels and capable of sustaining a prolonged conflict if necessary.
“The United States Munitions Stockpiles have, at the medium and upper medium grade, never been higher or better – As was stated to me today, we have a virtually unlimited supply of these weapons,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
He added that existing supplies alone would be sufficient to maintain military operations for as long as required.
“Wars can be fought ‘forever,’ and very successfully, using just these supplies (which are better than other countries finest arms!).”
