NEW YORK (VINnews) — — Commentator Tucker Carlson is under fire after making a blatant lie about Israel, Jewish religious groups, and the motives behind the country’s ongoing war.
Speaking on his online program, Carlson questioned sleeve patches worn by some soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces that reference the Jewish Holy Temple, suggesting the imagery reflects an effort to remove the Al-Aqsa Mosque and rebuild a Jewish temple at the site. He also referenced Chabad-Lubavitch, describing it as a branch of Hasidic Judaism historically led by Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, and suggested the movement has quietly pushed for reconstructing the ancient temple in Jerusalem.
Investor Bill Ackman criticized Carlson in a post on X, saying the commentator “has reached a level of absurdity that is going to get someone killed” and warning that someone close to him should intervene before “he will have blood on his hands.”
Critics said Carlson’s claims misrepresent Jewish religious beliefs and Israel’s military goals. Israeli officials have repeatedly said their operations are focused on security threats, not religious plans concerning the contested Jerusalem site.
There was no official response from Chabad.
.@TuckerCarlson has reached a level of absurdity that is going to get someone killed. He needs to stop this now. Someone who knows him well needs to intervene or he will have blood on his hands. https://t.co/wjrAq0T6Yz

The blood libel is a medieval conspiracy used for centuries to justify murdering Jews.
It’s not new. It’s not clever. And it’s not “just asking questions.”
So when major influencers start spreading it to millions right before Passover, let’s call it what it is:

Carlson’s @TuckerCarlson claim about Chabad and the Temple Mount is a slanderous lie. His implication that Chabad is behind the war in Iran is a dangerous blood libel.

Someone from the White House needs to step in and tell @TuckerCarlson to stop or he needs to be banned from the White House. He is spreading lies about Chabad with zero evidence, and he is going to incite some crazy Muslim or Neo Nazi to shoot up Chabad. Tucker is going to get… https://t.co/zBEzvt3tcJ

Between @TuckerCarlson claiming Chabad is behind the Iran strikes and @RealCandaceO claiming Israel did 9/11, we have to understand that today’s antisemites— the most popular media voices on the American right—are trying to get Jews killed.
They are trying to foment violence. pic.twitter.com/ioPq9mAX2o
