President Trump: Iran’s Military Obliterated – ‘The War Is Pretty Much Over!’ Warns of Total End for Regime
WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) – President Trump declared in a phone interview with CBS News that the ongoing U.S.-led conflict with Iran is “very complete, pretty much,” asserting that Iran’s military capabilities have been devastated.
“They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no Air Force,” Trump said, indicating that U.S. and allied strikes have effectively neutralized key branches of Iran’s armed forces. He added that the conflict has progressed “very far” ahead of his initial estimate of 4-5 weeks.
Trump’s comments come amid escalating U.S.-Israeli military operations against Iran, which began after strikes that killed former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran recently named his son, Mojtaba Khamenei, as the new supreme leader, a move Trump has repeatedly criticized.
Asked about Mojtaba Khamenei, whom he has openly derided as a “lightweight” and “unacceptable” choice, Trump offered a blunt response: “I have no message for him. None, whatsoever.” He hinted at having “someone in mind” to replace Khamenei but provided no further details.
Trump also addressed maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global chokepoint for oil shipments. He noted that ships are currently moving through the strait but said he is “thinking about taking it over” to ensure continued freedom of navigation.
In a stark warning to Iran, Trump said the country has “shot everything they have to shoot” and cautioned against any additional provocations. “They better not try anything cute or it’s going to be the end of that country,” he said.
The president’s remarks reflect the Trump administration’s demand for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” as strikes continue to target Iranian infrastructure and military assets. U.S. officials have reported significant degradation of Iran’s air defenses, navy and air force, though Iran maintains defiance and has carried out retaliatory actions in the region.
