IDF Strikes Iranian Regime Headquarters in Tehran, Tabriz Amid Escalating Conflict

Mar 10, 2026·2 min read

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The Israeli Air Force conducted targeted strikes earlier today on several key headquarters of the Iranian regime in Tehran and Tabriz, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced.

The military said Iranian soldiers and security personnel were present at the sites during the attacks, which hit facilities linked to Iran’s special forces, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), ballistic missile operations, the Security Police agency, and a Basij compound.

“The headquarters and compounds were struck while soldiers of the Iranian terror regime were operating inside them to advance terror activities against the State of Israel and other countries in the Middle East,” the IDF stated.

The strikes mark a new phase in the ongoing conflict, aimed at “deepening the blow to the core arrays of the Iranian terror regime and its foundations,” according to the military.

The attacks come amid a broader U.S.-Israeli air campaign against Iranian military and regime infrastructure that began in late February, with repeated waves of strikes targeting IRGC sites, missile facilities, and security apparatus across cities including Tehran. The campaign has significantly degraded Iran’s missile and air defense capabilities, according to Israeli and U.S. assessments.

Iran has responded with barrages of missiles and drones targeting Israel and regional sites, though many have been intercepted. The conflict has drawn in Iranian proxies and raised concerns over disruptions to Gulf oil infrastructure and shipping.

No immediate confirmation of casualties or damage from Iranian sources was available in connection with today’s specific strikes. The IDF described the operations as precise and focused on disrupting regime terror networks.
