JERUSALEM (VINnews) – Several Hezbollah Terrorists were killed in an Israeli drone strike during ongoing ground operations in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday.

The strike occurred as troops from the 7th Armored Brigade, part of the 36th Division, conducted a raid in the Rab al-Thalathine area. The IDF said the operation aims to locate and dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure and operatives in the Lebanese village.

During the raid, forces identified several Hezbollah operatives in a building near their position, the military said. An Israeli Air Force drone then struck the site, eliminating the operatives.

The 36th Division’s troops also discovered Hezbollah weapons during the operation, the IDF added.

The incident comes amid continued Israeli military activity in southern Lebanon, where forces have been targeting Hezbollah positions to counter threats along the border. Hezbollah has claimed multiple attacks on Israeli forces in recent days, though it has not immediately commented on the latest reported strike.

The cross-border clashes have persisted despite international calls for de-escalation, with both sides exchanging fire regularly.
