Beirut Residents Vent Anger At Hezbollah: ‘This Isn’t Gaza And Khan Yunis’
JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Beirut residents awoke to huge debris in their streets, the result of intensive strikes carried out by the IAF on Wednesday night in response to the ongoing rocket fire by Hezbollah against residents of Israel, especially in the northern region.
Footage emerging from Lebanon flooded social media with very familiar scenes, though ones usually associated with the southern Lebanon front: homes reduced to rubble, shattered streets, and destroyed property.
Local residents expressed anger: “The terrorist Hezbollah is trying to bring the whole country down on our heads! We want to live, we love life! What, are we living on a farm run by a terrorist organization??? Wake up already, you criminals, without morals, without conscience!” one commenter wrote angrily.
Another person wrote: “This is little compared to what’s coming,” adding, “Photos from the southern suburb, I never expected the suburb would become like Gaza City or Khan Younis.”

Another commenter expanded further about one of the photos: “This is not Gaza and not Khan Yunis, this is the suburb of the ‘defeated victors.’”
During a series of strikes carried out overnight in Lebanon, Israeli forces located and destroyed dozens of launchers and Hezbollah terrorists who were planning to fire rockets toward Israel.
In addition, within just half an hour, ten buildings in the Dahiya district of Beirut were struck. These buildings had been used as terror headquarters, including intelligence command centers and a headquarters of the Radwan Force, Hezbollah’s elite unit.
At the same time as the ground-related strikes, the Israeli Air Force attacked more than 20 terror targets in real time, completing rapid and effective targeting cycles.
The Israel Defense Forces emphasized that it will continue to act forcefully against Hezbollah, which operates under the sponsorship of the Iranian regime, and will not allow any harm to the citizens of Israel.
Before the Israeli attack began, the IDF Arabic-language spokesperson issued an urgent evacuation notice to residents of Dahiya in Beirut. The notice clarified that due to Hezbollah’s actions, the IDF was about to act forcefully against the organization’s assets, operatives, and weapons. Residents were instructed to immediately evacuate areas near Hezbollah’s military infrastructure and were warned not to return to the area until further notice.
