
Ramat Gan Religious Council Head Seriously Wounded in Suspected Stabbing Attack

RAMAT GAN (VINnews) — The head of the Religious Council in Ramat Gan, 47-year-old Gedaliah Ben Shimon, was seriously wounded in a suspected stabbing attack, authorities said.
Ben Shimon, a member of the Shas party, was attacked and hospitalized in serious condition. Police arrested a 20-year-old suspect from Jatt, Israel in connection with the incident.
Investigators are examining the possibility that the stabbing was a terrorist attack.
