Rep. Nancy Mace Travels to Israel to Help Evacuate Americans Amid Middle East Conflict
WASHINGTON (VINnews) – Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., traveled to the Middle East this week to help evacuate Americans stranded amid the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran. She initially went to rescue a South Carolina family but stayed in the region to assist additional Americans in danger.
Mace worked alongside Grey Bull Rescue, a Tampa-based nonprofit led by military veterans, coordinating with the U.S. State Department to secure an aircraft for evacuation. Dozens of Americans, including families with children, were safely flown to Greece.
I can say that mace is telling you the truth…the problem is real and I know for a fact that she did something I have almost never seen in congress: she went alone to a had place and figured out how to help get people out on the fly…I saw it.
Respect it. https://t.co/mssFTdOi9I— Christopher C. Cuomo (@ChrisCuomo) March 12, 2026
The organization said this marked its 808th mission and has helped nearly 600 Americans leave the region since the outbreak of the conflict. Grey Bull Rescue founder Bryan Stern praised Mace for actively working with the team to ensure the safe extraction of citizens.
I left Israel last night on a rescue flight full of Americans.
I originally went to the Middle East because there was a South Carolina family who was stranded. And because when your people are stranded in a war zone getting hit with missiles and rockets, the only answer worthy… pic.twitter.com/tBzQvsn3L9

Mace, who is seeking the governorship of South Carolina, said the experience underscored the importance of leadership and action in times of crisis. Tens of thousands of Americans have been leaving the Middle East since the escalation of hostilities, with many receiving direct support from the U.S. government.
Last night, Grey Bull Rescue evacuated another aircraft full of Americans trapped in Israel under threat from Iranian missiles and drones.

My love for South Carolina and all Americans knows no boundaries.
We will cross oceans, fly into war zones and do everything humanly possible to help you. When our people are in need, we step up. pic.twitter.com/2s9YgxSNiv

Funny story, @ChrisCuomo was on my flight to Jordan. He promised to keep it secret. Chris was very helpful to me. I’ll tell that story when I’m on his show next. 🇺🇸
Chris, you’re a great American and I appreciate your help very much. https://t.co/s1JT1X8Te1
