Khamenei’s ‘Testament’: If Revolution Is Under Attack, Shoot Without Orders
JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Kuwaiti analyst Abdullah al-Nafisi analyzed in an interview published on Israel’s i24NEWS the regional strategy of Iran, which he said includes unrestrained waves of missile and drone attacks against its neighboring Gulf states. He argued that this approach is part of the “testament” of Ali Khamenei, who, according to the claim, was eliminated at the beginning of Operation “Roaring Lion.”
“Khamenei wrote a testament just as Ruhollah Khomeini did,” al-Nafisi explained. “In it, he outlined guiding principles for Iran. Among other things, he said that if the revolution is under siege and under attack, and if you see this as the end of the revolution, then I demand that you make a decision on ‘independent fire’—meaning without waiting for orders from above.”
When asked whether this means that every faction or element could open fire without waiting for commands, al-Nafisi confirmed: “Exactly. That’s what I meant.”
According to a report by journalist Yaron Avraham on Channel 12 News, the head of Israeli military intelligence told the political leadership during a discussion: “The Iranians are revealing just how exposed their command structure is. They are firing whatever they are able to fire, there is no munitions economy. They simply cannot do more than that.”
Previously, Israel Defense Forces stated that around 2,200 targets belonging to the Iranian regime have been struck across Iran so far. According to a military source, about 85% of Iran’s air defense systems—including radar systems—have been damaged, along with roughly 70% of its ballistic missile launchers.
The source added that the IDF is operating under a structured operational plan prepared long in advance, involving thousands of personnel from military intelligence and various army units, both regular and reserve. Nearly all the targets attacked in the operation are newly defined targets identified after Operation “ Rising Lion,” reflecting what the source described as a broad intelligence effort that has spanned years and intensified particularly since the previous campaign.
It was also reported that the IDF estimates the fighting on both fronts—Iran and Lebanon—could continue for several more weeks, and possibly even into the month of May. According to a military source, most of the activity in Iran has so far focused on the Tehran area, with plans to expand operations to additional regions. On the same day, the Israeli Air Force reportedly operated simultaneously in Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz.
