Iranian-American Woman Calls U.S.-Israel Campaign a “Rescue Mission” for Her Homeland

NEW YORK CITY (VINnews)-Neda, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Iran, has shared a poignant perspective on the ongoing U.S.-Israel military campaign against the Iranian regime, framing it not as a conventional war but as a much-needed “rescue mission” for her homeland.

In a recent interview, Neda reflected on her childhood growing up in Iran under the Islamic Republic’s rule. She described the deep-seated challenges and oppression faced by many Iranians, which she says persisted for decades and necessitated external intervention to bring about change.

“We needed some outside help for this and we appreciate it so much,” she said, expressing gratitude toward the United States and Israel for their actions.

Her comments come amid escalating conflict in the region, where U.S. and Israeli forces have targeted Iranian military infrastructure, including elements of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), drone facilities, and other assets. The operations have been described by supporters in the Iranian diaspora as a humanitarian effort to dismantle an oppressive government that has long suppressed dissent, restricted freedoms, and isolated the country internationally.

Neda’s views align with a growing sentiment among some Iranian-Americans and dissidents inside and outside Iran, who see the military pressure as a potential catalyst for regime change and the restoration of rights to the Iranian people. Social media posts from Iranians and supporters have echoed similar language, referring to the campaign as a “rescue operation” rather than aggression, with calls for the complete removal of the current leadership to pave the way for a freer future.
