18-Yr-Old Samaria Resident Murdered In Ramming Attack Near Chomesh

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Yehuda Shmuel Sherman, 18, a resident of Elon Moreh, was murdered in a vehicular ramming attack  during the course of Shabbat while on a security patrol near the “Shuva Israel” outpost farm close to Homesh. His brother, who was with him, was moderately injured and is conscious. Yehuda Shmuel is survived by his parents, Yehoshua and Sima, and six siblings.

According to an initial investigation, the two brothers, who were riding in a light utility vehicle, were surprised by a Palestinian car that sped toward them from the village of Beit Ummarin and struck them, throwing . Another Israeli who was with them was not injured.

The head of the Samaria Regional Council, Yossi Dagan, arrived at the scene immediately and, together with the council’s security officer and IDF officers, questioned the moderately injured victim about the details of the incident.

“This is a very serious incident. We embrace and strengthen the families. We are facing a murderous and barbaric enemy whose goal is to murder Jews and thereby drive them from their land. I say clearly: we will never break. We will only grow stronger and continue building northern Samaria and all of our Land of Israel,” said the council head.
