1 Murdered By Hezbollah Anti-Tank Missile Direct Hit

Mar 22, 2026·2 min read

JERUSALEM (VINnews) — An antitank rocket from Lebanon directly hit a car in northern Israel on Sunday morning. Magen David Adom reported that one person was killed in the strike, after he failed to escape his burning car.

The victim was later identified as Ofer (“Pushko”) Moskovitz, 60, the avocado crop manager at Kibbutz Misgav Am in the Upper Galilee. Just this past Friday, Moskovitz had eerily warned that: “At any moment, a missile or drone could fall on me—this is Russian roulette.”

Moskowitz revealed what is a painful truth: The communities located on the northern border do not have enough warning prior to Hezbollah rocket attacks to reach a safe room or shelter. In many cases, there are just a few seconds between Hezbollah firing shells and missiles and the impact in Israel.

“The Misgav Am community bows its head and grieves over the passing of Ofer Moskowitz,” the community stated. “A speaker, farmer, friend, symbol and legacy for all of us. Throughout the years, he was the prominent voice of all of us. We send our deepest condolences and a strong hug to his family and the entire Misgav Am community. The Galilee will never look the same without him. May his memory be blessed.”

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that: “This is a defense of Lebanon and its people.”
