Israeli Rabbi’s Son And His Family Suffer Death Threats From Muslim Attacker In London
LONDON (VINnews) — The son of Rabbi Yermiah Rabinowicz, the Biala Beit Shemesh Rebbe, was targeted in a threatening antisemitic encounter on Tuesday while walking with his wife and infant in London.
According to reports, the family was approached by an individual who spat at the man, shouted insults, and threatened to kill him. The incident took place outside their usual neighborhood in an area roughly 30 minutes away.
As the situation escalated, the man’s wife entered a nearby shop and called police. A shopkeeper intervened, confronting the suspect and forcing him to leave the scene.
The attacker continued yelling threats against Jews as he walked away. The family left shortly afterward and later filed a complaint with police from their home.
Authorities said they are treating the case seriously and are working to identify the suspect, including reviewing security footage from the area.
The incident comes amid heightened concern for Jewish communities across Europe following a series of recent attacks.
Authorities across the region have increased security around Jewish institutions as they examine whether the incidents are connected or part of a broader pattern of antisemitic activity.
