JERUSALEM (VINnews) — Medical teams from United Hatzalah performed a successful resuscitation on a 12-year-old girl who fell and was injured in her home in Safed while trying to run to a sheltered space.

Rivka Twitto, a United Hatzalah medic who arrived first and began resuscitation, along with medics David Ohanona and Tzemach Elias, said: “We were told that during the siren she fell from her bunk bed while trying to quickly get up and move to a protected space. We performed resuscitation, including administering two shocks with a defibrillator (AED) from United Hatzalah. Fortunately, her heart started beating again, and she was evacuated to the hospital. At this stage, her condition is defined as serious but stable.”

United Hatzalah’s resilience teams provided emotional support at the scene to family members and neighbors due to the nature of the incident.

The girl’s name for prayer: Esther Hadassah bat Chaya Mushka.
