IDF: Dozens of Hezbollah Terrorists Killed in Southern Lebanon Ground Operations
JERUSALEM (VINnews) – Israeli forces killed dozens of Hezbollah operatives during recent ground operations in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces reported.
In one incident, troops from the Givati Brigade identified two Hezbollah cells and directed artillery fire that killed at least six operatives, the military said.
Separately, the 869th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit spotted two Hezbollah gunmen who fired on Israeli troops. Tank shelling and a drone strike eliminated the pair, according to the IDF.
The 91st “Galilee” Regional Division also destroyed several Hezbollah surveillance posts in its sector.
The clashes occurred as Israeli forces continue targeted operations to degrade Hezbollah infrastructure and threats along the border. No Israeli casualties were reported in these specific incidents.
The developments come amid an expansion of IDF ground maneuvers in southern Lebanon ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to establish a broader security buffer zone.
