JERUSALEM (VINnews) — The IDF revealed strike data from the 24 hours before the ceasefire: more than 150  Hezbollah terrorists were killed during this period. Since the start of Operation “Roaring Lion,” more than 1,800 Hezbollah terrorists have been killed in Lebanon.

The IDF Spokesperson stated that in the day before the ceasefire took effect, the military targeted hundreds of terrorists and terrorist infrastructures used by Hezbollah to plan attacks against Israel and IDF forces.

As part of the strikes, approximately 300 military targets were hit, including launchers, command centers, and weapons storage facilities across several areas in Lebanon.

Among those killed was the commander of the Bint Jbeil sector in Hezbollah, Ali Rida Abbas, along with other commanders. The Bint Jbeil sector is considered one of the organization’s key front-line areas, which Abbas commanded during fighting against IDF forces.

According to the statement, Abbas had promoted numerous attack plans against IDF forces and the State of Israel over the years, particularly during Operation “Roaring Lion,” and was also involved in rebuilding Hezbollah’s presence in the Bint Jbeil sector.

Abbas is the fourth commander of the Bint Jbeil sector to be killed by the IDF since the beginning of Operation “Northern Arrows.”
