Concern is growing over the condition of the Belzer Rebbe, who has weakened in recent days and is in great need of tefillos.

On Sunday evening, an urgent call was issued to the public to daven for the Rebbe.

A special announcement was released on the Kol Belz phone line saying that the Rebbe will not attend Maariv and Sefiras HaOmer at the large Beis Medrash in Kiryat Belz in Jerusalem.

The Rebbe’s son, Rav Aharon Mordechai Rokeach, issued a personal and emotional request, saying: “Since my father, the Rebbe, is very weak, we ask everyone to say several perakim of Tehillim, give tzedaka, and arouse Rachamei Shamayim.”

Chassidim worldwide began organizing tefillah gathering on Sunday evening.

The public is asked to daven for the refuah sheleimah of the Rebbe, Yissachar Dov ben Miriam, b’toch sha’ar cholei Yisrael.
