FBI To Investigate Mysterious Deaths And Disappearance Of 11 Senior US Scientists

Apr 20, 2026·3 min read

NEW YORK (VINnews) — What began as a troubling rumor in the halls of Congress has, in recent days, turned into an official federal investigation at the highest level. The slew of disappearances and deaths of senior American scientists has now reached an astonishing total of 11 victims. All of them worked on sensitive projects for the U.S. Air Force, NASA, or nuclear facilities, and all either vanished without a trace or died under suspicious circumstances.

The online uproar forced U.S. President Donald Trump to address the issue last Thursday. “I hope it’s a coincidence, but we’ll know within the next week and a half,” he told reporters, adding that it is a “very serious matter.” A White House spokesperson confirmed that the FBI has joined the investigation to look for common links between the cases and “turn over every stone.” Congressman Eric Burlison warned that this could be a national security crisis potentially connected to China, Russia, Iran, or even hidden secrets about UFOs.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chair James Comer (R-Ky.) on Sunday said the committee will investigate the deaths and disappearances of the  scientists, who all had links to U.S. nuclear or space research programs. Authorities have not confirmed an official connection between members of the group, though it’s been noted that each of them had high-level security clearances at certain national research facilities.

As if the federal investigation weren’t enough, another bizarre event reignited conspiracy theories. On April 8, residents in Ohio documented a cluster of glowing, flickering lights moving in a triangular formation above the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, before splitting apart and disappearing. This base is not just any military installation—it is rumored to house the famous “Hangar 18,” where alien remains from the Roswell incident were allegedly taken.

The truly chilling detail? The base was previously managed by Major General William McCasland, the senior officer who has been missing since late February. McCasland reportedly left his home on foot, leaving behind his phone and smartwatch, and taking only a .38-caliber handgun. In a recently revealed 911 call, his wife is heard saying that it seemed he “planned not to be found.” McCasland has previously been linked, through WikiLeaks disclosures, to programs involving reverse engineering of alien technology and alternative energy. Online users are now divided over whether the lights above the base were military parachuters using flares or something extraterrestrial connected to his disappearance.

While authorities are trying to unravel the disappearance of McCasland and four other scientists (all of whom, notably, left their homes on foot and left their phones behind), disturbing details are emerging about related deaths.

One prominent case is that of Amy Eskerdge, a 34-year-old researcher who worked on anti-gravity technology. In 2022, she was found shot in the head in what was ruled a suicide. However, it has now emerged that before her death she warned close associates that she was receiving threats due to her intention to reveal secrets about extraterrestrials.

“If you stick your neck out… they’ll bury you, they’ll burn your house while you’re sleeping, and it won’t even make the news,” she reportedly said.

A former British intelligence officer who investigated the case told Congress that Eskerdge was murdered and may have been attacked using a “directed energy weapon.”

Is a mysterious force, human or extraterrestrial, systematically eliminating some of America’s brightest minds? Now that the FBI is involved, the truth may finally come to light.
