President Trump: Israel Did Not Influence Iran War Decision, Repeats Opposition to Nuclear Iran
WASHINGTON D.C (VINnews) -President Trump said in a social media post Monday that Israel did not persuade him to enter a conflict with Iran, while reiterating his long-standing position that Iran should never obtain nuclear weapons.
In the post, Trump said the events of Oct. 7 reinforced his “lifelong opinion” that Iran must be prevented from developing nuclear arms. He also sharply criticized news media, political analysts and polling, claiming that much of their reporting is inaccurate and that polls are “rigged.”

Trump further repeated his assertion that the 2020 U.S. presidential election was fraudulent, a claim that has been widely rejected by courts, state officials and election experts.
Turning to Iran, Trump suggested that political change in the country could lead to improved conditions, writing that if new leadership were to emerge, Iran could have a “great and prosperous future.”
